Production Information

Arthur Miller`s powerful drama revolves around an immigrant family in 50`s New York, whose menfolk are longshoremen. The husband`s waning interest in his wife is replaced by love for his niece,Catherine. The situation is further complicated by the arrival from Italy of two  young men,  one of whom falls in love with Catherine. The complex drama has hints of a Greek tragedy. Award winning director and playwright Tony Layton  is the guest director with a fine cast. On the GCSE syllabus this play is a must for all theatre goers of any age.
